Stainless Steel Ceiling Fans

When it comes to fans, the number of options available to the regular homeowner is unlimited. The options available on the market come in different variations in terms of the make, size, design, color and many other details. Stainless steel ceiling fans are one of the most popular choices.

Although most people are going to say that stainless steel fans have been around for some time now, this is an innovation that can be considered quite new for ceiling fan designs. Using fans made of stainless steel comes with a number of advantages homeowners should learn and think about when making decisions about their own fixtures at home.

Generally, steel ceiling fans end up giving a fresher look to the rest of the room. The silver tone of steel gives both the fan's body and blades a streamlined appearance compared to wooden materials that end up dark against the ceiling. In addition, stainless steel blends in perfectly with modern living spaces and appliances.

Traditionally, stainless steel has a silver finish. This is not the only shade available when it comes to stainless ceiling fans today though. A newer option is made up of black metal, which gives a highly dramatic effect. This is a perfect addition to modern white ceilings. Some are even designed with a trimming of black on silver or the other way around. Additionally, a stainless steel ceiling fan is also given different finishes for added texture. Shiny metals, for example, tend to be bolder and more eye-catching while brushed steel ends up with a higher level of sophistication.

Ceiling Fan Options

The options range from three to five blades. Determining the one to choose is not an easy thing to do. There are considerations one should take note of carefully and thoroughly. One of these things is the effect of the blade number on the overall functionality of the fan. Basically, a fan with three to four blades does not need a large motor. Smaller motors, by nature, are louder. Hence, a room that requires less noise should be paired with a five blade ceiling fan. When deciding on the sizes, the greatest factor to consider is the size of the room where the fan is going to be installed. It is a relief and comfort for everyone to know that most of the sizes used for steel ceiling fans are actually in proportion with the standard sizes of rooms.

There is really no need to worry about regular maintenance when it comes to ceiling fans. In contrast to stainless appliances where smudges and dirt can easily be noticed, steel fans do not require as much effort to be maintained clean and dirt-free. The material itself has the capacity to resist oxidation in areas where high humidity is a problem. For parts of the house where fire and smoke is a present constantly such as in the smoking room and the kitchen, they can sustain the elements well, so discoloration is not a problem. More so, cleaning can easily be done with a damp cloth or some vinegar.

Because of all these, stainless steel ceiling fans are recommended for homes and other living areas. Pets, smokers and even venting problems do not have to be an issue anymore.
